In May 1981, Young Hyun (YH) Jung and his brother Duke Jung established Chunma Trading Company. YH Jung, as CEO, built the company's business around electroplating and international trading during its initial years.
In May 1990, the company changed its name to Chunma Corporation and began manufacturing of heat-shrinkable closures, handbags, and magnetic devices and machineries. In the early nineties, the company expanded into USA, Mexico, and China.
Since Jan. 1999, Duke Jung, as the new CEO, successfully led the company through the difficult time following the Asian financial breakdown. The company has grown stably since then, reaching $9M sales in 2006.
Chunma is an ISO 9001:2000-certified company, satisfying the standardized requirements for a quality management system.
For three consecutive terms of 2007, 2008, and 2009, we have been acknowledged by KT, Korea's leading telecom company, as Best Partner of the Year for the outstanding quality of our products and services.
We hold international patents on the technology for various telecom cable-related products.
